As part of "Happy Chinese New Year" 2015 cultural fairs, the mascot for the Year of the Sheep was published. Produced by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, the mascot’s design is based on traditional paper-cut art and delivers the joy and good wishes for the Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, is the most important festival of the year for Chinese people and is an essential part of Chinese cultural heritage. Today an increasing number of countries value Chinese New Year as a significant festival and more and more foreign people hope to learn and get a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and society.
