"WRITING" CHINAESE WITH KEYBOARD

Chinese scientists have coded Chinese characters, which enables people to input corresponding Chinese characters by inputting codes on the general computer keyboard. According to the input codes, the computer will find the dot-matrix-form font code stored in its character database. Chinese characters then can be displayed on screen or printed out by printer.

	Chinese character-coding includes shape-based, sound-based and shap/sound-based coding systems. The Five Stroke Font input is a kind of shape-based coding.
