Zhongyuan Festival

The Daimonji-yaki (“bonfire event”) in Kyoto can be credited as the climax of the festival. Another way to see off the ghosts is to have a bon odori folk dance. On the summer night, everyone will dance in a yukata accompanied by the beat of taiko drums. The activity has become a well-known tourist sightseeing event in Japan.
