Kazakhstan is China’s second biggest trading partner in the Commonwealth of Independent States and the first largest investment destination country in the Eurasia area. Bilateral trade volume reached $28.57 billion in 2013, an increase of 11.3% compared with last year. China has become the biggest business partner and one of the major investment countries for Kazakhstan. The bilateral cooperation has extended to a variety of fields, including politics, security, trade and business, energy, transportation and culture.

With China’s recent deals worth over $14 billion dollars signed to enhance connectivity with Kazakhstan, the economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries are expected to be boosted.
