The press conference of the 4th China International Violin Competition was held in Beijing.

The press conference of the 4th China International Violin Competition was held in Beijing. The violin competition, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Qingdao municipal government will be organized in Qingdao, Shandong province from Oct 16 - 29. Applications are being taken now, with a June 15 deadline.

During the competition, Hu Kun, Chinese-French violinist and professor at the Royal Academy of Music, will be chairman of the competition jury, and the members of the jury will include 10 brilliant musicians from China, France, Britain, the United States, Russia, Japan, Korea, Romania and other countries. According to the competition’s prospectus, players ages 16-36 are allowed to compete. Enrollment started Feb.2 and ends on June 15, 2014. Participants can register online.
