In China’s big cities, people are suffering from some sizzling heat. But in the far north, the vast grasslands of Inner Mongolia provide welcome relief with cool air and idyllic pastures. And for tourists in the West Ujinmuqin Banner of the Xiligol League, there’s even more, particularly for fans of riding horses.

The grasslands of the West Ujinmuqin Banner in the northeast of Inner Mongolia is hailed for its pristine ecosystem and natural scenery. It’s also known as the homeland of China’s finest breed of white horse. So a cultural festival named after "China’s Hometown of White Horses" is being held there, the first of its kind.
