Starting in 2010, the annual event looked back in the past year and summarized the major events in the Chinese art market; however, this year's forum focused more on planning for the future.

The theme of the 3rd forum was, "Change and sustainable development of the art market," with three topics, which were “The auction market — new performance and new challenge,” “Market development — new policy and new strategy,” and “Art collection — new opportunities and new problems.”

The forum also presented the annual art market awards, including Annual Art Gallery, Annual Auction and Annual Figure.
