The competition will be held once every two years, while stressing the concept of cooking without excessive food additives. The International Forum on Gastronomy and City Development will start during the competition.
The award was named after the founder of China’s catering industry, Yi Yin, who used to be a chef and became prime minister in the early Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) and became famous for describing governing methods with cooking theory.
