The First Beijing Olympic Park’s International Cuisine Competition with the 6th International Grand Prix Competition of Easteat Kicks Off

 

 

On Sept 19th, the press conference of the first Beijing Olympic Park’s International Cuisine Competition with the 6th International Grand Prix Competition of Easteat was launched in the Bird’s Nest, where officials, chefs and others in the gastronomy field all over the world got together.

The competition is guided by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, supported by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce and Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development. It is sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Commission of the Olympic Park Management, organized by Red Chef Hat International media advertising co., Ltd, Beijing Global International Exhibition co. Ltd, and co-organized by China National Convention Center co. Ltd, National Stadium co. Ltd, and the Beijing Olympic Park Development Union.

The competition was aimed at providing a platform for cooking artists to communicate and for enhancing cultural exchanges between China and the world, continuing to build Beijing into a world-level city.

The competition’s marketing period will last from Oct, 2011 to May, 2012 in New York, London, Sydney, Paris, Tokyo, Ankara, Cape Town, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taipei. The final competition and award ceremony will be held between Jun 18 and 20, 2012, in the Bird’s Nest, where top chefs from home and abroad will compete on the same stage.

In the press conference, fantastic performances were given by cooking artists. Ten Beijing Ducks from Beijing Da Dong Roast Duck Restaurant were shown to the audience; Awu Delicious Food’s helmsman Fan Shengwu performed slicing meat on a balloon; Master Liu Haibo from Easteat made noodles with his eyes covered. A group of “dish models” did strut walks on the stage; Master Bai Jinxing showed his masterpiece, Bird’s Nest, made from sugar.
