Symposium on Sinologists and International Cultural Dialogue

On Dec. 3, 2013, a symposium on Sinologists and International Cultural Dialogue was launched by the Ministry of Culture. The gathering, held at the National Museum of China, was attended by some 40 Sinologists.

The Sinologists not only talked about museums and artifacts, but also discussed science fiction, international commerce, national governance and Chinese literature, among many other subjects.

Highlights:

The symposium devoted a full segment to the discussion on the role of Chinese literature within the international arena.

After the symposium, the sinologists went to Quanzhou, Fujian province as part of a cultural trip, which is the city crowned "East Asia Cultural City.”
