Stir-fried pork kidney with bark of eucommia (a kind of medicinal herb)

春分节气养生食谱

Ingredients: 20g bark of eucommia, 250g pig kidney, soy sauce, cooking wine, garlic, scallion, ginger, salt, pepper, vinegar, gourmet powder, dry starch, white sugar and vegetable oil in prudent amounts.

Instructions: First: decoct the bark of eucommia with 50ml of water into thick juice. Use some soy sauce, cooking wine, dry starch, white sugar, salt, gourmet powder to make starchy sauce. Divide the starchy sauce into three parts.

Second: wash pork kidney, remove the tendons and membranes and cut them into scalloped ones then pickle it in starchy sauce. Wash garlic, scallion and ginger, cut them into sections.

Third: heat the pan and put vegetable oil into the pan; after the oil is heated, put pepper. When the flavor of pepper gives off, add scalloped kidneys, garlic, scallion, ginger and starchy sauce. Stir-fry quickly for a few minutes; put in the last part of starchy sauce and vinegar. Stir-fry all the ingredients together.

Effects: keeps blood pressure down and strengthens bones

Tips: adding some medicinal herbs to the dish gives it a better effect to nourish the kidneys, strengthen the bones and lower the blood pressure. It is a good dish for health care.
