The Solomon Islands boasts rich culture and resources and its display at the 2010 World Expo would promote the understanding on the country as well as its potential and investment opportunities, Luke Eta, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Solomon Islands, said at this morning's official ceremony at the Expo Center.
Cai Fangming, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, said the pavilion offered a glimpse to the country's economy, culture, tourism and art, which would leave a deep impression to visitors across the world.
The exhibition displays around 400 cultural items, handicrafts, artworks, tourism promotional materials, trade products and information, investment guides and postage stamps.
The Expo is an opportunity for the Solomon Islands to showcase the country, its people, culture, tourism resources and investment potential.
