Hanzhong, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, yesterday started a nine-day promotion of its folk art, culture, tourism, business, urban construction and development and competitive industries at the Expo site.

Artists and craftsmen from Hanzhong performed at the opening ceremony of the promotion at the Shaanxi Pavilion inside China's Joint Provincial Pavilion yesterday afternoon.

Hanzhong is located in the southwestern part of the Shaanxi Province, in the center of the Hanzhong Basin.
