Australia Pavilion holds English contest

Australia Pavilion held an awarding ceremony for Chinese students winning the Queensland Cup English contest on July 24.

The Queensland Cup English contest was jointly founded by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Queensland State Government’s Department of Education and Training in Australia. Previous five contests were successfully held in Shanghai.

This year’s contest attracted more than 100,000 students in Shanghai’s high schools and universities. Eight students won the final match and will visit Queensland for two weeks this year under a student exchange program.

Shanghai and Queensland have decided to extend the agreement on the English contest.
