Exhibition of 2008 China’s Major Archaeological Discoveries held in Hangzhou

An exhibition titled 2008 China’s Major Archaeological Discoveries, a major event among the cultural celebrations in Hangzhou, opened on 13th, June, at Hangzhou History Museum. Guests and visitors present at opening ceremony included Shan Jixiang, Director of State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Tong Mingkang, Deputy Director of State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Wang Guoping, Party Secretary of Hangzhou, Cai Qi, Deputy Party Secretary and concurrently Mayor of Hang Zhou among others.

The Exhibition, with a broad base appeal, attracted thousands of Hangzhou residents, students and tourists, displaying 27 major archaeological discoveries including finalists of 2008 Top 10 Archaeological Discoveries, 210 items of cultural relics and a great number of photos and documents.

The Exhibition was organized by State Administration of Cultural Heritage and held by China Cultural Relics News . Other colorful activities such as Supplementary Classes were also held at Hangzhou History Museum to help visitors know more about cultural heritage.
