Peking Opera The Moon shining over Saibei was staged at the Liyuan Theater during the 10th China Art Festival in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, October 20, 2013.

The photo above depicts General Degen (second from left) with the character Bael who together resisted foreign enemies. The Moon shining over Saibei tells the story of Wang Zhuqing, a Jiangnan woman who was exiled to the north with her husband but always longed to venture around the country. Zhuqing Wang practiced the Secure Border policy, honoring the last wish of her husband, and made alliances between tribes and military personnel to defend against enemies.
