IX Florence Biennale 2013 will be held at Fortezza da Basso from November 30 to December 9.

The 2013 Edition of the Florence Biennale further strengthens its symbolic bond with the City of Florence by transforming some of the most important venues of the Florentine Renaissance into new vital locations of the exhibition. Meanwhile, to revitalize these mythic locations through contemporary art, the Florence Biennale has designed a series of “Events in the Event” which fully involves the sociocultural urban structure of Florence’s historical center.

With the carefully designed art feast, the Florence Biennale will present the world with an impressive exhibition of Renaissance-style art. And all of this will be achieved in a unique way through the participation of Chinese artists.

The Florence Biennale was launched by Pasquale and Piero Celone in 1997. As one of the three Italian biennales and the world-famous platforms for contemporary art, the Florence Biennale provides excellent artists from around the globe with a great opportunity to get together and share with each other the fantastic experience of art.
