Wind of Colorful Guizhou Blows into Oceania- "Charms of China" lands in Australia and New Zealand again

Wind of Colorful Guizhou collected the Miao, Yi, Gelao, Dong and Yao nationalities’ representative programs, including the Fanpai Wooden Drum Dance as the living fossil of the Miao nationality cultural activities and eastern disco, Dong Minority Big Song as a human intangible cultural heritage, caragana dance Blooming Spring and the Water Girls, which won the dance gold medal of the Lotus Prize. This show received acceptance and love both at home and abroad. Famous director Zhang Rongji, from the Seoul International Cultural Foundation, considered the Colorful Guizhou Custom “totally can match the world-wide popular Irish national dance”. Famous American media said the show was “shining brightly and dazzled the eyes”.

"Charms of China" Establish Famous Band with High-quality Shows

Wind of Colorful Guizhou’s Australia and New Zealand tour is an important project of the Charms of China’s performance series. As a foreign cultural exchange brand launched by the China Arts & Entertainment Group, ”Charms of China” has promoted a series of shows in America, France, Germany, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and other countries since 2009. The plays and troupes who participated include the Qingdao Symphony Orchestral, the Butterfly Lovers from Beijing Dance Academy, Six Floating Dreams from Jiangsu Province Kunju Opera Courtyard, Twelve Girls Band, the dance A Handful of Wild Jujubes, Chinese Musicians Group, Anhui Traditional Orchestra, Along the Silk Road from Gansu Song and Dance Theater, and the Peony Pavilion from China Jinling Art Troupe. The dance Along the Silk Road and the Peony Pavilion’s won good results in both the box office and the oral traditions in American mainstream society and their first show was at the Washington Kennedy Performing Arts Centre and Lincoln Art Center in New York, respectively.
