The hit TV serial Red Sorghum tells a story set in Gaomi in Shandong province, where there are vast red sorghum fields. Red sorghum not only often appears in literary works or films, but also is depicted by many artists. Let's look at images of red sorghum painted by different artists.

This is painted by famous Chinese artist Wu Guanzhong. Stalks of intensive red sorghum can be seen in the painting, which symbolizes a bumper harvest. On closer look, each ear of red sorghum is portrayed as standing upright plumply. As for the whole picture, the upper part leaves space for the sky, which makes the painting looks more spacious.
