Blue sea in song

Explore the blue ocean on Christmas Eve with a live performance of the soundtracks from BBC and Discovery channel's award-winning documentary series The Blue Planet at Guangzhou Opera House. Scenes from the documentaries, such as footage of whales and dolphins playing and mystical sea creatures from the deep, will be projected on a giant screen during the concert. The show promises to be a feast of sight and sound.

Bossa nova diva

Lisa Ono, a popular Japanese-Brazilian bossa nova singer, will delight audiences with her warm, calming voice at her Christmas concert at Xinghai Concert Hall. Known as the Queen of Bossa Nova in China, she made her name in the country with her cover of La Vie en Rose for Feng Xiaogang's film A World without Thieves and Quizas in Karwai Wong's film In the Mood for Love. Ono will also dip into her repertoire from the past 20 years of her singing career. She will perform in Beijing on Jan 1.
