Under guidance of a teacher, children wearing traditional costumes from Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD) attend a First Writing Ceremony held in the Daguanyuan garden (grand view garden) in Beijing on July 1, 2014. The First Writing Ceremony, also called the Qi Meng (enlightenment) Ceremony, was once a very important event for every student before they were admitted to school in ancient China.
