Pandas star in 'China Day' celebration in Belgium

Belgium's Pairi Daiza Zoo has held a celebration dubbed 'China Day', starring two giant pandas who made their debut at the zoo in April.

The pandas, named Hao Hao and Xing Hui, have become star attractions, drawing in huge crowds.

The panda pair have been leased to the Pairi Daiza Zoo for 15 years.

Apart from the pandas, other cultural events were held, including tea-making and a demonstration of traditional Chinese musical instruments.

The "China Day" event was co-hosted by the Chinese mission to the EU. The event aims to give Europeans an objective and comprehensive understanding of China's past, present and future.
