Chinese Quyi Festival in Paris

Paris saw the 1st Chinese Quyi Festival in May 2007. Since then, the festival was organized by the Center and Chinese Ballad Singers Association each year. Over 70 categories of Quyi were performed in Paris, among which some have been listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list. And many performers are transmitters of intangible cultural heritage.

During the festival in 2015, Chinese artists Jiang Kun, Dai Zhicheng and artists from Yangzhou in Jiangsu province performed Yangzhou Quyi in a new way.

The Center printed brochures about Chinese Quyi in both Chinese and French to help the locals understand the essence of Quyi better.
