Chinese New Year celebrations around the corner in Malta

From Jan 23 to Feb 3, a "Happy Chinese New Year" event will be held to celebrate the Chinese traditional festival in Valletta, Malta, according to a press conference by the China Cultural Center in Malta on Jan 7, 2016. In its 10th session, a series of activities will be staged to cheer the audience in Valletta, including performances by Chinese artists from Anhui and Shandong provinces, film screenings, a photo contest, a parade and other festival celebrations.

Chinese Ambassador to Malta Cai Jinbiao and director of the China Cultural Center Wang Yanjun gave a brief introduction to the events.

In his address, Ambassador Cai Jinbiao spoke highly of the great influences of this event. "These activities will promote mutual understanding and strengthen intimate cultural communication between Chinese and Malta people." He also expressed sincere gratitude to the government of Malta and personages of all circles for their strong support and enthusiasm.
