Invited by the Cape Verde-China Friendship Association, Liu Di taught Chinese dance in Cape Verde in 2018. China and Cape Verde have an established friendship that was established in 1976, in which culture communication is key.

Although the teaching condition had its limitations, both teachers and students alike braved the difficulties and were dedicated in their practice of Chinese dance. During this 13-day journey, Liu and other volunteers successfully taught three dances to two classes in Praia, the capital city, showing the unique traditional Chinese dance and peaking local people's interest.

With China's rapid development in recent years, an increasing number of people pay attention to the culture construction in China. As a typical and global art form, dance has become popular and important in today's society. When Chinese dance meets Western dance, it is a great opportunity to combine them, bringing around new concepts and promoting its development.
