Guangxi Zhuangju Opera Troupe
Zhuangju is a local opera of the Zhuang Ethnic group in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The Guangxi Zhuangju Opera Troupe was founded in 1965, based on the former Youjiang Zhuangju Opera Troupe.

Over the past 30 years since its founding, the Troupe has produced and staged many traditional and contemporary plays. Among them are Theater Gourd, A Hundred Birds' Feather Coat, A Lover from Afar, Legend of the Red Bronze Drum, Lady Wa, Gold and Silver Flowers, Feather Man's Dream, The Moonlit Guihua River, The Drunken Hero and King of Songs. Its King of Songs won the grand prize and several individual prizes of the 7th Wenhua Award of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the '97 Cao Yu Drama Literature Award.

Its major artists include first grade composer Li Guocheng; first grade performers Lin Peiyan, Wei Qizhi and Zhang Yonglan; first grade stage designer Wang Meng.
