The Troupe was establist1ed in September 1965. Over the past 34 years since its founding, the Troupe has performed more than l000 music and dance works with distinctive features of Mongolian flavor. Among them, the representative works are dances such as "Rainbow", "A girl from Grassland", "Romance of Shepherd", "Drum Dance", Mongolians", "Camel Bell", "Sweet Smell of Fried Rice"; songs such as "Fertile and Beautiful Grassland", "Playing my Beloved Instrument of Hao Bisi", and Hao Laibao such as "Flying Horse and "Pearl Springs on the Grassland", The ensemble has obtained 226 prizes in competitions and art festivals home and abroad. It has visited 22 countries inAsia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Taiwan, HongKong regions. Through long terms art practice, the troupe has trained a group of national artists with great attainments such as Mulan, Dauerji Renqin, Da Rima, Zhao Lu Na Shun, who have got high reputation home and abroad.
