Xibaipo Memorial

The Xibaipo Memorial is a memorial of Chinese revolutionary sites. Located in Pingshan County of Hebei Province, Xibaipo was the village where Communist leaders established their base in the period from 1947 to 1948. It was the headquarters of the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party and the People's Liberation Amy during the latter part of the Liberation War. The memorial, occupying a construction area of 3,344 square meters, was built in 1977 and opened to the public on May 26, 1978.

The memorial houses abundant historical relics, of which are over 2,000 revolutionary relics with 15 first-class items. Basic displays include the restituted display of revolutionary sites and accessorial displays of documents, photos, and mementos. The restituted display exhibit former residences of revolutionary leaders, such as Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi and Zhou Enlai, etc.
