The Culture and Art Publishing House (CAPH), founded in 1980, is a media and publishing institution under the Ministry of Culture.
Duties and tasks: To publish Chinese and foreign literature and artistic works of different times, artistic theories, histories of different types of art, and art and science reference books; to publish scientific research achievements of colleges and research institutes under the Ministry of Culture; and to publish reading materials publicizing science, technology and Culture.
Establishment: CAPH includes the office of the Editor-in-Chief, General office, Financial Department, a distribution and transportation company and five editorial offices for books. CAPH also publishes two periodicals,Biography and Cultural Pictorial of China.
Major achievements: Since its establishment, CAPH has published more than 2,000 books, nearly 20 magazine titles, 20 videos and 93 audiotapes.
