China Art Gallery
The China Art Gallery (CAG), established in 1962, is an exhibition institution under the Ministry of Culture. it has an construction area of 17,051 square meters.   

Duties and tasks: Collect, store and conduct research on contemporary and modern Chinese art pieces; display contemporary and modern artistic works in chronological order and sponsor and hold short-term exhibitions of Chinese and foreign artistic works of various kinds; conduct academic exchanges; and collect folk art pieces.

Establishment: CAG includes the Exhibition, Research, Storage and Artistic Works Service departments.

Major achievements: CAG has more than 60,000 pieces in its collection. The gallery has held more than 1,300 exhibitions and publishes pictorials, such asCollections of the China Art Gallery, Collected Works of Qi BaiShi, and Selected Works of the China Art Gallery.
