Major tasks: To engage in major cultural and artistic Performances and to expand economic cooperation and develop related products with domestic and foreign artistic organizations and artists; to sponsor major cultural and artistic exhibitions and to help domestic and foreign artists to market their works in the Chinese mainland; to develop related programs for large-scale stage performances at home and abroad, conduct specialized scale management of stage art and oversee a cooperative network with overseas artistic institutions; to hold Cultural and artistic fairs and specialized or comprehensive exhibitions, organize exchanges among domestic and foreign artists, hold exhibitions or trade fairs involving art pieces and handicrafts; and to sell and manage works of art on behalf of the artists. With a computerized ticketing network, it has 200 contracted ticket offices in Beijing.
Establishment: The corporation includes the Classical Music Center, Pop Music Center, opera and Dance Center, Exhibition Center, Publicizing and Marketing Center, Ticketing Center, Foreign Affairs Department, Foreign Economic Cooperation Department and Performance Reception Center.
