The Liuzhuang site is located in Liuhuang village,Henan Province, 662 km from China's south to north water transfer projectThe site covers more than 300,000 square meters. Dasikong cultural relicsand large scale Pre-Shang cultural cemeteries have been uncovered. Over 300 tombs and 400 funeral objects found demonstrated the process of absorbing and melting with the multicultural elements in neighboring regions of early Pre-Shang cultures.

The discovery of cemetery of such a scale fills up the blank of research on pre-Shang cultures and has aided research on subjects such as funeral customs, social structures, the origin of businessmen and the relationship between the Xia and Shang dynasties. The Xia Dynasty stone-coffin tombs discovered are the first in the mid and low reaches of Yellow River, which also provided new clues as to the origin of the Shang people.
