This event has won warm support from governments at all levels and famous antique collectors. The Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress, who is also Chairman of All-China Women's Federation, Chen Zhli, named the event. Famous antique collectors are enthusiastic; donating their collections and showing their love. Through careful selection, there are more than a thousand donations which include calligraphy, china, and jades. There are also some famous precious donations. Items such as rectangular Ding with jade dragons, three-layer jade chime-bells and three-leg jade with an animal face decoration and dragon patterns are valued at more than 28 million RMB respectively.
All of the donations will auctioned in a public rummage sale. The proceeds raised will be donated to China Women’s Development Foundation, China Red Cross Foundation and China Children and Teenager’s Fund for “Cistern Project” and a series of public projects. This event begins the link of carrying forward fine tradition of the Chinese culture with developing charitable undertakings. The event aims to carry forward the fine tradition of the Chinese culture through displaying ancient Chinese treasures and to expand the source channel of charity funds through donations and auctions. Huang Qingyi, Chairman of China Women’s Development Foundation and Deputy Director of Committee for Social and Legal Affairs, other leaders and committee members of China Red Cross Foundation, China Children and Teenager’s Fund and Identification Committee of Cultural Relic Academy attended the opening ceremony.
