China's northeastern province of Heilongjiang is promoting itself in Shanghai with the launch of "Heilongjiang Week." At the opening ceremony, local officials of the province presented a gift for the Shanghai World Expo Organizing Committee.
The two huge vases were made of wild walnut grown in the mountainous region of the province. During the week, artists of Heilongjiang will perform various programs.
More than 30 folk craftsmen will also come to showcase their distinct cultural heritage... The Heilongjiang Pavilion at the Expo is themed as "Snow and Ice Make Us Different." Up to now, more than 600-thousand people have visited the pavilion.
