The first night flower market in Beijing opened in Beijing Garden of World Flowers on Thursday night.

Website qianlong.com reported on Friday that the market had attracted more than ten thousand people on the first day.

The organizers collected over one thousand species of flowers from Guangdong, Yunnan, Zhejiang and other Chinese provinces, said the report.

A staff member said that the market is specially tied with the Caoqiao Lantern Festival, which was held nearby.

The night flower market will last till February 22.
