Japanese actors join Chinese New Year celebration

A Peking opera and Kunqu opera cultural show was held in Tokyo to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year at the China Cultural Center on Tuesday. The event was organized by the center and the Shanghai History Museum.

Many Japanese officials and fans of Peking opera and Kunqu opera attended the event.

Chinese and Japanese actors performed classic sections of Peking opera and Kunqu opera. This marked the first time that Japanese actors participated in a Peking opera performance staged by the center.

The center also prepared traditional Chinese delicacies for visitors, including dumplings and spring rolls.
