Spring Festival in the eyes of Chinese painters

Hu Yanqiu, born in 1962, draws inspiration from the Dunhuang mural paintings. Her work features bright color contrast and downward-looking composition, showing the unique atmosphere of the Chinese countryside. The Spring Festival is a popular theme of her works at some auctions. The painting above was created in 1995, depicting a scene of new year celebration in the Chinese countryside.
