Zhu Legeng: to emphasize the historical studies and show the Chinese civilization

Zhu Legeng, members of the National Committee of CPPCC and Dean of Artistic Creation at the Arts Research Academy of China, said in an interview that we should pay special attention to the humanities, especially on research in cultural and historical studies.

“We must value historical studies, and study Chinese history with a modern horizon.” Zhu Legeng said, “The Chinese nation should not only recognize our own culture, but have a better understanding of its value and significance in human society as a whole. As society develops, we need to restudy and rediscover history.”
