Semen Nelumbinis Soup with Lily

Ingredients: 100g of dry lilies; 75g of dry semen nelumbinis; 75g of crystal sugar.

Recipe: Soak the dry lilies in water for one night and the semen nelumbinis for 4 hours and then wash them out. Put lilies and semen nelumbinis into a pot with clear water and boil them. Then add some crystal sugar and simmer gently for 40 minutes. It’s done.

Benefits: It’s helpful for calming the nerves and nourishing the heart. It’s also beneficial for the spleen and the stomach.

Candied Lilies

Ingredients: 60g of raw lilies; two spoons of honey

Recipe: Wash lilies out with clear water and put them in a bowl. Then pour the honey on them. Steam them for 30 minutes. Air-dry them or dry them with fire. Eat before going to bed for 7 nights.

Benefits: It’s good for people who sleep badly. It can help the heart and calm the nerves.
