Amazing photos of Lion City under Qiandao Lake

2014-02-19 14:34:50

Lion City, a thousand-year-old ancient city, is buried under Qiandao Lake, Zhejiang province. It vanished in 1959 to make way for a new hydroelectric power station. Protected from wind, rain, and sun, the entire city has been branded a "time capsule" as almost every structure remains completely intact, including wooden beams and stairs. [Photo/IC]
