Let’s Celebrate the Lunar New Year in Museums

The exhibition Loong Bless Sichuan is being held in the Sichuan Museum on Jan 19 and will last until Feb 20.

The displays are arranged according to the course of time, telling visitors the origin of Loong, the images of Loong in different historical periods and related customs. The exhibition covers a history of approximately 2,000 years.

To highlight the extraordinary symbolism of Loong in Chinese culture and history, visitors are presented with an abundance of bronze-ware, paintings and calligraphies, ceramic wares, jade articles and folk customs.

Meanwhile, a series of interactive activities, such as riddle guessing and a Loong-patterned jigsaw, offer the audience an opportunity to experience the charm of Loong culture.

“It’s the year of the Dragon, so my family decided to visit this special exhibition and we are willing to be inspired by the progressive spirit that the year of the Dragon carries,” said one mother.
