5. Cucumber
Cucumber sculpts are fit for being sculpted into grasshoppers and mantes. Big and thick green cucumbers are preferred.
6. Grape
Different grapes according to their shape, color and texture are fit for different sculpts. The main grapes are green, white, Purple Heart, red and carrot.
Green grapes and white grapes are appropriate for birds and flowers because of their big size. The carrot grape is solid and has less moisture so it can be kept for a long time. Cooks often sculpt carrot grapes as flowers and insects.
The color of the Purple Heart grape is unique and beautiful as it is the same color as some flowers. Red grapes can be sculpted for articles of red alternating with white for its red thin peel.
Even though these grapes are various, the demand for their freshness, moisture, pulp and shape are similar.
7. Other materials
Besides those that have been mentioned, Hami cantaloupe, onion, eggplant, beet root, rappini, broccoli, wild rice shoots, celery, tomato and eggs are also materials used for food sculptures.
