Introduction

Brussel China Cultural Center, the 21st China Cultural Center to open overseas, was established under the joint effort of Chinese Ministry of Culture and Shanghai municipal government. It is located in the central office area of the European Union, a complex that has more than 100 years of history. The seven-story building has a structure area of 2,000 square meters. The center was inaugurated in September 2015 and it plays an essential role in deepening mutual understanding and boosting cultural exchanges.

Facilities

The center is equipped with a multipurpose hall, exhibition galleries, multimedia rooms, a library and lecture halls. It offers various exhibitions, performances, forums and lectures, training and teaching sections, movie theater and reading clusters.

Functions

The aim of the center is to introduce Chinese culture and arts to Belgium and to enhance the understanding and friendship between the two peoples. The center provides a platform where a true and dynamic China is presented, bridging the culture and civilization of the East and West. It will make great contribution to enhance ties between China and central Europe.
