World Children’s Day event held in Beijing

A World Children's Day activity, with the theme of “reimagining a better world for children”, was held in Beijing on the evening of Nov 20, jointly hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, China Welfare Institute and the United Nations Children's Fund in China office.
Cities in China lit up buildings and monuments, including the Central Radio & Television Tower and China Millennium Monument, to mark World Children’s Day, displaying the Chinese characters for the phrases “light up the future for children”, “World Children’s Day” and “give the most precious things to children”.
World Children’s Day was set up by UNICEF, with the aim of calling on everyone to pay continuous attention to children and build a more inclusive, green and sustainable future for them.
