ASEAN TOP, Guangxi Millennium Legend Television & Media Co., Ltd and the China Hong Kong & Macao Expatriate & Business Association of Cambodia signed two important strategic cooperation agreements on Aug 18. ASEAN will cooperate with the companies on Panda and Naga, a trilingual cartoon, and in the integrated electronic information platform called PLUS.

The signing ceremony was held online in Nanning, China and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. ASEAN TOP established a comprehensive and close strategic partnership with association, and promoted the overall layout development of ASEAN TOP in ASEAN countries through the integration of superior resources from both sides.

Ren Ruisheng, president of the association, said both sides will work hand-in-hand to make ASEAN TOP an important international new media platform and provide on-time, accurate and positive news for ASEAN and other regions and countries, aiming to enhance the mutual trust and friendship between China and ASEAN.

“The ceremony is important, and also new. The pandemic blocked communication between people, but cannot block the spread of information,” said Zuo Wenxing, political counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia. He said the cooperation will promote deeper development of China and ASEAN.
