With support from the China International Culture Association, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Thai translation of Chinese writer Chuan Ni's novel Which Kind of Love Doesn't Hurt was released at the China Cultural Center in Bangkok on March 23, 2016. The release was jointly organized by the center and the South America Bookstore, attracting around 150 people and media from both countries.

At the book launch, president of the South America Bookstore Wadi introduced the book's writer and thanked the China Cultural Center for its efforts. The center's head, Lan Suhong, said it was an honor and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn was a friendly envoy between China and Thailand, who contributed a lot to the bilateral cultural exchange.

Princess Sirindhorn loves Chinese culture. She has translated many Chinese literature works, such as Wang Meng's Butterfly, Wang Anyi's Baotown and Tie Ning's How Far Is Forever. Among all the writers, Chuan Ni was the first to come to Thailand. The novel Which Kind of Love Doesn't Hurt centered on a woman's conflict with her husband after the birth of their child. It portrayed the pressure experienced by working women and the confusion brought by marriage, family and career.

To help Thai readers better understand China's current marriage, family life and literature, Chuan Ni gave a speech themed, true love.

In addition, several professors and scholars discussed in depth the marital situation in modern China. On the sideline of the launch, a picture exhibition, featuring extravagant dowries in ancient China, also attracted many attendees.
