Established by the Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the Dehong People’s Government of Guangxi, the China-Myanmar Welfare Fund aims to increase people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, facilitate social improvement projects, and deepen the friendship between China and Myanmar. The fund aims to launch projects in culture, sports, education, public health, agriculture, transport and water conservancy in Myanmar and border regions through civic channels, in a move to promote cross-border cultural exchanges.
