The First International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) was held in Shenzhen from Nov. 18 to 22, 2004. The number of exhibition booths reached 1,583, of which 270 were occupied by overseas exhibitors, accounting for 17 percent of the total.
The Second China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) was held at the Shenzhen Exhibition Center from May 18 to May 21, 2006. There were 4,500 standard booths and more than 1,500 enterprises appearing in the second ICIF.
The third ICIF was held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from May 17 to May 20, 2007, with many senior government officials present. The total area was 105,000 square meters and there were 9 exhibition halls. A total of 1,639 cultural boards and institutions participated in the third ICIF.
The Fourth China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair was held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from May 16 to 19, 2008. The Fourth ICIF was composed of six sections: exhibition, exchanges, forums, awards, celebration activities, online exhibition and talent recruitment.
The fifth China International Cultural Industries Fair opened in Shenzhen. From TV and film to animation and publication, participants from around the globe brought their best and latest products to one of China's biggest platforms of the cultural industry.
On 14th May, 2010, the Sixth China International Cultural Industries Fair was officially opened in Shenzhen, South China. The main aim was showcasing and acquainting the world with Chinese culture, its related products and services.
