故事发生在中国北方的一个普通山村小学校。学校教师因家有急事请假，村长只好找高中没毕业的魏敏芝临时代课，讲好在此期间不能有一个学生辍学。魏和学生吃住在一起，并尽心尽力教好课，但是仍有一个学生离校出走。她只好追到城里到处寻找。在电视台和许多好心人的帮助下，她找回了学生并赢得了社会的赞扬和资助。

Not One Less

Things happened in a primary school of an ordinary village in northern China. Because the teacher asked for a leave for several days, the village head had to ask Wei Minzhi, who hadn`t finished high school, to take up the classes, demanding that not a student could quit study during the time. Though Wei lived together with the students and tried very hard to teach them, there was still a student leaving off the school. Wei looked for the student everywhere in the city. With the help from the TV station and from lots of kindhearted people, she finally found the student and gained the praises and supports from the society.
