Postgraduates: Those under the age of 35, with a college degree alongside the recommendations of two vice-professors or professors, who have passed enrollment examination, or who have graduated as an undergraduate in China in the same year, and who are excellent in courses, are recommended to be admitted to postgraduate studies without having to take an entrance examination.

Doctoral Candidates: Those under the age of 40, with a postgraduate degree, who are recommended by two vice-professors or professors, and who have passed the entrance examination can be doctoral candidates.

Language Trainees: Those under the age of 55, with a high school diploma can become language trainees.

Common Trainees:Those under the age of 35, with more than two years of college attendance can become common trainees.

Advanced Trainees: Those under the age of 45, with a Master's degree or above or who are studying for a doctoral degree can become advanced trainees.

Research scholars: Those under the age of 55, and who are vice-professors or above can become research scholars.

Short-term Learners: Those under the age of 60, with a high school diploma or equivalent that is equal to or above the diploma or equivalent from high schools in China can become short-term learners.

 Short-term Class for Foreign Learners

Applicants to study in China are on the rise with the development of Sino-foreign cultural and educational exchanges. And accordingly the contents of short-term classes have developed from the originally solely Chinese language into literature,calligraphy, economics, architecture, law, traditional Chinese medicine,acupuncture, arts, and sports. The time of short-term classes is also expanded to year round, from the original summer holidays only. Short-term classes are available in more than 200 universities across China.

 Short-term Class for the Chinese Language

Short-term Chinese language classes are run by universities, colleges, colleges of arts, and teachers, mainly intended for students from foreign universities, high schools, friendship groups, company staff members, and whoever loves the Chinese culture. Short-term classes are divided into primary, medium, and advanced levels according to the particular Chinese proficiency of the different learners.

 Chinese Culture Class

The Chinese culture class focuses on Chinese politics, economy and trade, foreign relations, and traditional culture, conducted either in Chinese or English, or with an interpreter. Classroom teaching is combined with visits to factories, rural areas, residential areas, and scenic spots.

 Chinese Traditional Medicine Class

The Chinese traditional medicine class which is run by colleges of traditional Chinese medicine in local areas, offers courses on acupuncture andmoxibustion(a kind of traditional Chinese medicine technique that involved burning a small, spongy herb),massage, and internal medicine to overseas practitioners of Chinese medicine, acupuncturists, and undergraduate and graduate students of medicine who know Chinese or |English. The courses are conducted in the forms of classroom lectures and clinical practices.
